Dog with award GCDS is the Good Citizen Dog Scheme and the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the UK`s largest dog training programme. The scheme promotes responsible dog ownership by teaching owners to train their dogs for everyday life situations. There are four levels, namely Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold, each one developing an owners understanding, while building a dog`s confidence and levels of obedience skills.

Any dog who enrols on the puppy course under the age of 12 months will automatically be assessed for the puppy foundation award. These puppies will be eligible for entrance into the Good Citizen classes.

For older dogs, the Good Citizen classes are normally open to those dog-owner teams who have completed a Foundation Course with ABC4Dogs. However if you are interested in progressing directly into the Good Citizen Classes at Bronze, Silver or Gold level please contact us to discuss your dog`s previous training.
